Decon - The Infinite Distance album cover

DECON are a melodic Metal-Core band from Burglengenfeld, Germany. DECON have just independently released their latest album titled "The Infinite Distance".

DECON play an awesome combination melodic music paired with guttural, wailing screams. The title "The Infinite Distance" is a great title for the album as the entire thing talks about both the positive and negative aspects our world currently endures, and where it might go in the future. Certain tracks such as "Reset - A World Pulled Off Its Hinges" and "Days Of Anguish And Despair" portray dark negative feelings about where humanity is headed in the future. There is admittedly a lot wrong in the current world we live in, and a lot more could go wrong, or worse in the future. DECON seem to realize this in their music, and are not afraid to talk about it. At the same time, on the flip-side there are many positive tracks that focus on the good that could happen in the world. Tracks such as "There Is No Distance In Summer" and "Dual Resurrection" offer an uplifting message of what may be a better future than humanity has traditionally hoped for. Balancing it all out are guarantees like "Your Hands Are My Anchors" promising that no matter how the world ends up being, there are those who will have our hand no matter what happens to us in life. We always have someone who will be a support system, to anchor us in what we need to believe in to go on in the future.

"The Infinite Distance" is a fitting concept as the world could improve itself to be infinitely better in the future, or it could self-destruct to become infinitely worse. It depends on what humanity does now and in the future as to how our world will end up being. Humanity has the future of itself in its hands, and what we do not will determine how the generations after us live in the future. That message is clear, and we can go an infinite distance in any direction. It's up to humanity to decide which way we want to go, and take steps in that direction. Whether that direction is positive or negative remains to be seen. DECON can see choices taking humanity either direction. We can hope that the directions we go in the future are POSITIVE, but only time will really tell what infinite distance we go, and in what direction we choose to take.
