Heartless
Dear Superstar

I get really pissed off when the band's official site address links to a Myspace page with no line up and such info. Not only this, but the band's music is also somehow strange and funny, since the experiment DEAR SUPERSTAR have tried to do is not so ordinary and definitely not so successful.
The UK based Metal (?) act was formed in 2004. They are now ready to release their brand new album Heartless through DR2 Records, an imprint label of Demolition Records. Want more info? Search...
So, the funny thing about DEAR SUPERSTAR is that they try to mix two genres that the only thing they have in common is that their members look kind of gay. What would you say about a crossover between MOTLEY CRUE and ATREYU? Yeah, you read it well. These guys try to mix Glam with Emocore and the result is kind of... ehm, not so good. I mean, when you have some wannabe sleazy parts, that are interrupted by melodic vocals and a catchy chorus with brutal vocals it ends up being irritating. The weird fact is how did this band manage to book two UK tours with bands like FIREWIND and HANOI ROCKS?
I am sorry but I really can't see anything good in this release. I guess some emo kids will like it and glam rockers will definitely be furious after they find out about this band. Anyway, my opinion is don't get even close to it.
