Deaf Aid - Hellgate album cover

Metal maniacs, rejoice! I am proud to present to you: DEAF AID; independently unsigned, hailing from the glory of Germany - performing Thrash/Death Metal, on their 3rd full-length studio album entitled: "Hellgate" (released May 13th, 2023). Since formation in 1989 until 2000, reformed in 2003... the quartet in question have 2 demos entitled: "Köing III" (released 1991), "Vanitas" (1994), an EP entitled: "Precursors Of Extermination" (released June 26th, 2020) & 3 full-length studio albums in their discography so far entitled: "Pictured Pain" (released January 31st, 2008), "Shreds Of Insanity" (released February 7th, 2015) ...on top of this here 3rd record entitled: "Hellgate" of which I am introduced to. 8 tracks ranging around 37 minutes; DEAF AID arranges an intricately designed formula on some heavy-hitting Death/Thrash Metal culminations.

Opening up with this rampantly rompy snare of sturdy tightness & thudding rumbles of reverberating tempo, monolithic weight ramifies with this punchline pandemonium surging viscerally with concretely gritty piledrives within thumpy rollicker Basti's bass flickering injections. "Gutas" ends the song with celebratory applause as beers cheers with tapping salutations & salutes, as "Ausgeburt" distils a chiselling aesthetic in impactfully impulsing grinds that strike vehemently, where vigorous pursuits rambunctiously pounds speakers with pummelling firepower expertise from distinct but bludgeoning drum, battering slammer Grex. "Let The Infidel Rot" smacks through you with rigorous tonality, bombarding a bestial foundation in brutally distinguished elements in implementing gnarly distortion and hybrid but experimental substance...

Organically forging a dexterously dynamic density in blistering but boisterously bouncy execution; this rapidly swift nimbleness utilises versatile chugs from frolicking galloper Harri, "T.O.T." fabricates a hefty  calamity in bulldozing meltdowns that manifests with razor-sharp volatility & pugnaciously salubrious slaps that rivet with savagely sinister virtuosity whilst thrashing momentum rips slabby yet solid shreds that will make you want to break chairs over other chairs in no time. This is immensely intense and evident within the "Reign Of Retards", just use your imagination here with this one...ominously jarring prowess still profoundly pumps out profusely robust synergies of monstrously meaty maelstrom vehemence that stabilizes with sonically seamless malice for good, amplified adrenaline.

"Harbinger Of Death" contrasts a fierce but ruthless stridency on persistently persevering grooves and wildly rushing relentlessness that trailblazes with wrathful rage, fabricating a foreboding but guttural grumble from cordial vocalist Marc... who rasps out throaty shrouds of bleeding but sulphurous soars of uproarious sludginess that's most primitive whilst raw to boot. The penultimate banger "Hellgate" attributes a grandiose grandeur on malignant rampage & stompy finesse, lacerating killer but slaying masquerades on blackened but deathly aberrations in beatdown crunchiness, flamboyantly rampaging with stampeding retribution that's most stumpy.

Overall concluding "Hellgate" with the finale epic "Inner Nightmare"; a bruising but bashful virulence prominently renegades with more throttling thrashiness which showcases more oppressively malevolent technicalities which revolves through you and ends the record with the most onslaughting of intentions. Bottom line; I am compelled to say that DEAF AID most surely outdone themselves with this one, a hasty but hostile slice of some thrashing death in which towers with tremolo building crescendos and hardened instrumental chunkiness...fusing cavernous but heralding linearity that portrays nasty songwriting musicianship that will start your day ferociously in bestial fashion. Worthy of spinning & re-playing a good bunch of times, do check it out... an enjoyable experience in bastardizing devastation certainly deserves discovering.
