Lost, Alien & Forlorn

Just name me a decent Metal fan who doesn't seek an escape from that sheer brutality assaulting his ears the whole time... but a true Metalhead wouldn't turn on pop radio in such a case, he's venture into the calm and atmospheric dungeon of Metal. Folks, the Atmospheric / Ambient Black Metal band DE ARMA have stepped forth with their debut album "Lost, Alien & Forlorn" and I invite you to open up your eyelids and read what I have to type.
"Lost, Alien & Forlorn" is a 7 track album and a very interesting and progressive one I have to say. Teleporting you to a very dark foggy forest where Black Metal rules everything, you'll be instantly absorbed in the mood the album aims to put you in. In a genre like this I tend to avoid relying on production quality and supreme musicianship, since the heart of Black Metal lies in its rebellious Punk attitude and this release is exactly what a Black Metal fan would put in his dark demonic Metal box underneath his bed alongside the rest of his underground BM collection.
Songs like the foggy "Watching the Walls Come Down", and the dark atmospheric "Behind These Filthy Planes" basically define everything you'd need to know about this release. It's another decent addition to the Atmospheric Metal archives, and if you enjoy the genre, then be sure not to miss this.
