There are not a lot of Progressive / Alternative Rock bands that I like to listen to but as I was listening to DARXTAR, I realized that it is time for me to correct that mistake and listen to much more of the genre. Believe it or not, this "band" started as a one man's band. Who could have known that such an artistic masterpiece can be created by just one man?! K. Soren Bengtsson is a DJ but his unique mixture of beautiful tones and house elements were actually were able to surprise me. Even though he uses a lot of space effects (Which might sounds weird or nerdy to most of you), I must say that it makes the album even more special and great!

As I'm listening to DARXTAR's "Aged To Perfection" I can hear a little bit of PINK FLOYD (Especially in the guitar rhythms). However I've never heard such a unique vocal in my life. Even for his voice, Bengtsson added an effect that makes him sounds like he's telling his story from outer space. He takes everyone with him to become a part of the "Aged To Perfection" story line.

You can say it is Psychedelic or even insane but it is a truth that DARXTAR decided to share it with everyone, and for that I'm thankful.

In conclusion: This is art! I wish there were more tracks on the album but "Aged To Perfection" is a work of art.
