Darkane - Insanity album cover

Have you ever been in a completely dark room and felt a cold breeze coming in on you from nowhere? Have you ever felt the presence of something you couldn't really figure out what it was? Has your soul ever felt that it was being penetrated by an unknown and evil force? If yes, you also might be thinking that you're going insane. The thin line between sanity and insanity. What a fragile border.
Darkane, a Swedish Death Metal band comes to prove us once more that we've made contact...with the Unknown! These insane guys play an insane style of Technical Death Metal, bringing mysterious forces to our ears. Their songs are full of rage and anger but never become disturbing (except if you're a narrow minded wimp and you only listen to Spice Girls). The drums are fast and exploding (Peter Wildoer kicks sorrowful ass!) and quite technical. The vocals are mainly death but there's a lot of other effects and stuff which make Sydow's voice quite bizarre (cool! hehe). There are a lot of awesome heavy metal guitar riffs (aside of death ones) that will make you wanna headbang all day long (and all night). I should also mention the great chorus in Calamitas and that in many songs there are a few (well actually more than a few) weird sound samples (sp00ky). So, it's a great relief to see that Sweden still has interesting bands coming out every now and then (like Darkane and Soilwork who are new actually). I think Darkane's like something you've never listened to before and that's because their playing style is so...insane and technical at the same time! I find them very interesting to listen to their experimentation with sanity and insanity. Oh, I'd also like to mention that Darkane faced a lot of weird trouble during the recordings of this album!! Darkane's Peter Wildoer (which we interviewed just a week ago) told me that for ex. one day they went to the recording studio and they found 10 cm of water in it and that before that a lot of their equipment used to burn out constantly!!(you'll be able to find out more Insane details about Darkane's experiences soon at our Interview section!)...
Experience total insanity now! Buy Insanity and face the Hostile Phantasm that awaits for your soul !
P.S. I'd like to send my best wishes to Peter Wildoer who's really an insane (but funny!!) guy!
