Mythological inspired DÄNG are an American Doom Metal band that plan to release their debut album "Tartarus: The Darkest Realm" next year. Musically wise they play doom with hard rock influences with killer riffs and great solos; they reminded me of SAINT VITUS, but what really stands out the most on this record are the lyrics.

Inspired by Greek mythology, each song details the life of a resident of Tartarus, being the mythology aficionado that I am; this was what I loved the most about this album.

Composed of Brian Beaver on drums, Chris Church on guitar and vocals, Scott Cornette on guitar and Matt Lutton on bass, the four Americans from DÄNG have released a great debut album, one that has many layers of complexities that can't be fully understood at a first listen, it begs to be listened several times to fully understand it, something that I will gladly do.
