DAMNO is a one-man band from the mind of DANILO TETI from Rome in Italy. He put the project together in 2020 and released his first E.P by this project titled "Bugaboo Alley" in December 2021. It is described as an Avant-Garde metal act and the lyrical content is made up of sex and absurd humor. So this already sounds mental enough so lets give it a listen. The E.P opens with "Crazy Doll Piece By Piece". It opens a funky sound which is then followed by chaos. Some decent riffs and a nice flow to it so far. The song is very much all over the place as there is a lot of genres and styles trying to be fitted in. It is certainly an interesting track anyway.

Next up we have "Forgotten In The Oven" which has some decent riffing and lead guitar work. There is a bit of an 80's metal vibe and the vocals are unique you could say. As the track goes on it then sounds like the song has travelled up into space and then plummeted back down again, lots of lead guitar work and guitar solo's play as the song plays out. Once again there is a lot going on here which can be tough to make sense of. After that we have the title track "Bugaboo Alley" and this has a pretty decent riff and groove to it although the vocals threw me off a bit here. The drums and guitars here I do like and there is a nice build to a cool middle section. After that the song then starts to loose the run of itself after that. It makes the mistake that happens through-out this E.P of trying to be "out there". It takes away from what could have been a decent tune.

The final song is "Spanking Core" and this one also starts off with a funky guitar and bass lines as the drums tries to keep up. The bass lines are nice and the song tries to transcend to a heavy section and back again. But once again the track is trying to squeeze too many styles into one song which can be hard to follow. So this was something anyway. The songs here on "Bugaboo Alley" are all over the place. DAMNO is defiantly experimenting with something new here. The songs lack focus and try too hard to be out there. I'm sure there is humor in the lyrics like we were told but I didn't understand any of it. The production on this was good but that is kind of it, really.
