I really don't know how to start this review. I know that I am supposed to say that at the end of this small text, but I can't do otherwise. "Stories Never Told" didn't even touch me, not a single stimulation. Anyway...

The only things written in the text that came alongside the CD was that DAMAGE DONE formed in Athens Greece in 2003, and that their music is a combination of atmospheric Metal and alternative Rock. This is their first album, released a year ago after two demos.

I'm still trying to find the Metal elements in this album and the parts where the band sounds like ANATHEMA and PARADISE LOST, as they are saying at their MySpace page. Yes, there are one or two riffs that may bring in mind the first mentioned band, but from then on you will hear easy listening pop Rock with some more aggressive riffs and there's a mixture of all the pop rock things out there with a touch of SYSTEM OF A DOWN. Can't see any of the influences they are talking about except some of the more melodic ones like LACUNA COIL and PAIN OF SALVATION. Of course they don't meet the standards of the previously mentioned bands. The production and mix are very nice, but 99,5% of the bands today can do that, even from their PC. It took 27 minutes after I pressed "play" to listen to the first song that really made a good impression to me, "Who Am I".

Truly, I don't like writing bad things about anyone. But some times this is inevitable. "Stories Never Told" is full of music for the masses, with nothing intriguing. You have to work very very hard guys in order to do something in the music industry nowadays.
