D.A.M is a Melodic Death Metal band from Ouro Preto in Brasil. It was founded as a solo project in the year of 2009 by Guilherme de Alvarenga whose intentions were to blend
compositional techniques from Classical Music, that he was learning at music college, with the powerful sonority of Heavy Metal. Their debut EP "Possessed" was released in April 2013, album "Tales of the Mad King" in December 2013 and new EP "Phantasmagoria" is released in 2014.

Titled track "Phantasmagoria" has a symphonic intro, then amazing keys with climate of STRATOVARIUS and Heavy Metal riffs. A fantastic level of music! Melody surrounds the listener's ears. Melodic riffs similar to CHILDREN OF BODOM are in "Fear (Lunar Body)" where there is an amazing connection of fast drums, catchy sounds, whispering, scream, and growl. In "Empty Silence (Solar Body)" is power and melody with similarity again to Finnish Metallers CHILDREN OF BODOM in sounding keys. Influences of classic music are hear able in "Lord of Dreams (S.I.Dm)" where Classical Sonata mixes with Death Metal, amazing clear voval mix growl. Nice memorable guitars are in opener "Banished from Paradise", together with power drums and melodic keys a 'la STRATOVARIUS create a killer song! Worth to listen is the awesome guitar solo together with keys.

Brazilian Death Metallers of D.A.M recorded again, perfect work. They connect Classical Sonata with the simplicity of Heavy Metal riffs in an easy and beautiful way. The guys create with passion a wonderful kind of Melodic Death Metal with Heavy Metal riffs, elements of classic music and symphonic echoes.
