There is (or there should be, in the experienced fan's ears) a vast differencebetween 'copycats' and 'filters' when it comes to a band's influences. Stiring it up less: CYANIDE4 is the case of the 'new blood' manifesting their own likes at ten scale, but when it comes to music it's an own persona you're 'deadline' flirting with. Complex is the quartet's first audio-printed attempt and some labels up there in the North of Europe should keep on eye on these vagabonds.
Flirting with disaster: that's the output storming out of this sleez breeze. Four tracks equally mixing fast 'philty' tempos, melodic backlines, nasty rocknrollin' attitude with a good doze of band chemistry and notable instrumentation. Hide In The Shadow bursts out in a fast 'party' puff with some enchanting harmonic bridge, Bad Love Parade carries on the 'sleaze it up' blend with some thrilling CRASHDIET-ish singing by G.A. Sinn, Temptation Failed should be the best tune off all four, with a dominating 'club friendly' tempo and GEMINI FIVE-meets-CRASHDIET-meets-MAXIMUM outlook in guitars/bass/drums. Cyanide wraps up this demo presentation in a weird 'distorted acoustic' intro letting loose a mild MOTLEY CRUE/RATT testament waft.
Apart from the pre-mentioned bands, a good doze of the 'thick rockin' moments of HANOI ROCKS, the platinum aura of HARDCORE SUPERSTAR (not that fat, on the other hand) and the 'metallic' emotion of LOUD 'N' NASTY you'll be able to discover lurking in this 4-piece craft. The voice/accent levels are more than adequate for the requirements of the genre, the guitars hold a great balance between philth, metallum and rock 'n' roll vibe, while the rhythm section is simple yet ample and kicking bones. The whole songwriting mode bears a confidence - not complex at all, if you refer to the demo's title - springing out of some conscious decision to sum up particular leverages only in benefit of pushing further CYANIDE4's own scope.
