CURSED 13's new album "Triumf" is truly a labor of love that spans all the way back to 1998. The band finally solidified a full line-up as seen above and after several years of work, highs and lows, and re-working songs that didn't stand the test of time for them, they emerged from the depths of hell with some seriously dangerous work.

"Triumf" is a Black Metal masterpiece and, as the band states, "is based upon aggression, both the controlled and calculating hate as well as blind fury." The group stands by ancient spirituality and mythology based on Scandinavian / European beliefs. They hold these aloft as truths and keep the kin of Loke close to their dark hearts; interesting, fascinating, and all very deep.

Let's get to the music. Track #1 "No Return" begins with some nightly winds and the sound of trains following the tracks in the dead of night, horn blaring to set the dark setting of one hellish growl as the music slowly builds its thunderous roar. It is both surrounded by razors and built on brutish power as the growls roll smoothly of the tongue of Heljarmadr. The album pummels you into submission and ultimately your demise comes with the last track "Vrede" and its pounding aggression.

CURSED 13's "Triumf" is pure Black Metal in all its glory and darkness, with enough rage and control to sate the appetite of most every fan of Metal, period.
