German rockers CROSSPLANE rattle the scene with their latest album Backyard Frenzy which is guaranteed to cause a stir amongst listeners. What is this stir you might ask yourself? Well, if you put in a crockpot a huge piece of meat (which is CROSSPLANE) and the elements of various spice ingredients along with potatoes and onions (vegetables would be late 70's southern rock, meshed with MOTORHEAD and dashes of BLACK LABEL SOCIETY) these would be the music inspirations you were to get out of this delicious recipe. And indeed a truly tasty one at that would most definitely cause a Backyard Frenzy.

Kicking off the album with their introduction song "Love Or Hate" which rocks a stylish riffing guitar with lively drums that induces a grooved bass rhythm, frontman guitarist Celli ties it well vocally that this song is sure aimed to please. If that hasn't got your attention follow up on second track "Grabbers" which begins with a accelerated swanky guitar jam that eases into solid timed drumming along with Lemmy Kilmister inspired vocals makes for truly a win over piece. Seriously these gents have it made in the shade with their unique brand of music which some might call Biker Metal to Biker Rock N' Roll , but from what I hear from beginning to end is a band that knows how to rock their stuff and strut it 100%.

Doing a little digging on the history of CROSSPLANE there was mention on their main band website that they have been rockin' since 2010. Seriously, when you hear this album from front to back you might question how long they have been around for their tight knitted sound gives them the impression of established seriousness. Showing you what I mean by that fast forward a few songs till you get to "Alive" that delivers a blast of animated instruments kicking into overdrive that speed the tempo to an interesting mix that powers it all the way to the top. Vocally the song has gusto that shows what a seasoned vocalist can do and much more.

Backyard Frenzy overall embeds energetic songwriting compositions that are extremely well done for a band that has been together less than ten years. Each member in their own right has brought different elements of energy to this mix giving it a vibrancy that is rarely found with todays rock/metal scene. Overall the entire album is a masterpiece and each song is a powerhouse unto themselves. So, if your seeking a band with tons of grooved rock tunes that make you want to ride into the night then head on over and meet CROSSPLANE!
