Although I'm stuck in the 80s there are some new bands that I like pretty much. CRAZY LIXX is one of them. They come from Sweden (where else?) and they were formed in 2002.Till now they have released only one studio album called "Loud Minority" (2007), which reached position #2 in the national Swedish Hard Rock charts. Along with bands like CRASHDIET, HARDCORE SUPERSTAR and BABYLON BOMBS they managed to create the 'New Wave Of Swedish Sleaze Metal' genre, which I personally like very much and as far as I'm concerned has many fans too.
Now about "New Religion": From its beginning to the end it's a great album! Songs like "Rock And A Hard Place", "21 'Til I Die", "Road To Babylon" and "Lock Up Your Daughter" - not to mention the pretty DEF LEPPARD-ish "Voodoo Woman" - show us that this band has guts and is here to kick ass! I have listened to the whole album a couple of times and there isn't a single song where I would say I felt bored. The production and the sound are really good and what impressed me too was the cover of this CD; I find it pretty interesting.
If you're into this genre then it's time for you to party! Along with the new releases of CRASHDIET and HARDCORE SUPERSTAR this is also an album that you're gonna definitely love.
