CONVICTORS a German Death Metal band, and despite being formed in 1986, this is their first full length album. Prior to this album, they only had released a demo called " The Last Judgement" in 1986 and an EP "Abdication Of Humanity" in 2009. Afterwards, the band had issues with members going to different directions, regarding the music, and splitting up was just a matter of time.

After all these years, they return with a mighty effort entitled "Convoys Of Extinction", a straight forward Death Metal album for the old school fans hardcore Metalheads. First track kicks in with "Preparedness 101", very powerful sound and very catching as well, harsh and deep vocals, followed by "Epitome Of Decay", great blasts and speed, the guitars have a unique sound and the bass can be heard very clearly throughout the CD. The more you listen to it, the more you will fall into the abysm.

Very raw, melodic, fast and heavy, I can't complain at all, "Angel Of Impurity" has amazing bass work, the vocals ripping the flesh off the bones, "Let Malevolence Arise" has lots of variations and pace changing and the vocals are just fucking good, I can't believe these guys stayed away from the scene for that long, but nevermind now because they are back and hungry for blood.

CONVICTORS have given us a masterpiece; it is very old school but also very new, they have managed to keep that 80's and 90's sounding just right, a bulldozer on the loose. "Festering Infestation Strikes"; be ready for this, a "Proclivity" to chaos and death, cool stuff indeed. "Diabolical Female" is a cool song with a cool title from 1986, being revived from the ashes, very cool riffs, fast and brutal, the last track, "Fragments", closes the CD with golden keys, a 13:52 song where a bit of everything happens. After six minutes, it ends and goes quiet for while and then it returns with a live version; pretty cool and unexpected.
