COKEGOAT is an American Metal piece from Chicago. This is a group with a sick twisted sense of humor, which is something I can personally relate to. The name COKEGOAT should definitely tell you much to know about this band. Their debut album, "Vessel", is certainly a twisted unique piece of work. They have that sort of raw quality on this one, but also have some synth and a certain groove to their sound.

As far as the intricacy of the music, it's mid-range. They mix it up enough to keep the listener from becoming bored while listening, but it's not to the levels of Prog Metal. The drum work is pretty decent. They aren't over the top crazy, but still heavy as can be. The guitar work is really the quality here because they throw three guitarists in the mix. Adding in the synth sounds really adds depth to the sound, even if it's just a little bit. All the members are right on target and together. The songs flow smoothly. As for vocals there's a bit of a mix of clean and harsh. There is even some female vocals thrown in from time to time.

So over all COKEGOAT really peaked my interest, from the moment I heard their name. They have a raw sort of feel to them, but aren't really strait death or black. It's a nice mix of genres these guys have. They're all together, and the flow of the album is nice and smooth. These guys are pretty awesome.
