CLEAR THE AUDITORIUM is an underground, Electronicore band from South Wales. Their new EP, "The Final Broadcast" was released on the 28th November 2014. It's made up of 10 tracks (including a few remixes and an acoustic) that are all pieced cleverly together in a strong narrative. The EP is very high concept and is based around the idea that Britain is under threat of a nuclear war. You've got short tracks like "Intermission" for example that really make you feel like you're listening to the radio. The EP begins with a Prologue and an Epilogue that give a clear beginning, middle and an end.

If you wanted to get an idea of the band's sound, think of a mixture of ENTER SHIKARI and PENDULUM and you've got it. CLEAR THE AUDITORIUM has played around with a number of different electronic synths from ambient to base drops which keeps the listener interested. They achieve this through using the same clean cut guitar sound which blends perfectly well together. Because of the blend of sounds the band has also widened their potential audience.

As for the lyrical content, it is incredibly dramatic and descriptive, making for a cinematic experience. Songs such as "We are the Danger" for instance, have used very strong phrases to create characters, including "we'll take you on if we have to." This gives the listener an image of a group of people who are a threat to the public. Furthermore, it helps to illustrate the sketchy environment the lyricist is talking about.

The overall mood of the album is pretty much set up right from the beginning in the prologue. The theatrical string sections and the broadcast announcement such as "evacuations are currently taking place in London" build up feelings of intensity within the listener. This lasts throughout the EP, and is enforced by songs such as "We are the Danger" and "Ozymandias" right the way up to the Epilogue. By the last track, the haunting piano riff and hard hitting drums actually change the mood slightly. It's more melancholy because the vocalist is talking about an apocalypse, death, the end of the world and so on.

To conclude, CLEAR THE AUDITORIUM'S album is a great asset to a stimulating sub-genre. If you want music that will entertain you then try "The Final Broadcast now"! It's just as good thrilling as watching an apocalyptic movie.
