Love In Black
Child Of Caesar

Since 80's there are many bands who like to make songs with dark atmosphere. DEPECHE MODE, BAUHAUS, and THE CURE are the most famous names in this genre called Gothic Rock. Now the style is more modern and spread to the whole world and appears bands like POISONBLACK and THE 69 EYES, from Finland. Now I'm listening the debut from the quartet CHILD OF CAESAR called "Love In Black".
Their song had an influence in 80's Gothic Rock and Pop Rock and it's easy to listen, even you don't like this style. Daniel Mitchell singing doesn't use the typical cavernous voice like Ville Laihialla, POISONBLACK, and SENTENCED, likes to sing. Mitchell's voice is soft and easy to like in your ears, listener. You can prove it especially in the tracks "Red Sun" and "You". André and Christopher - the last one is the bassist too - makes an efficient work in guitars. Nothing special, but the genre doesn't ask you makes virtuous things like in Progressive Metal.
You can listen "Love In Black" travelling, making something, it's almost like an ambient music. The highlight in this album is Dino Cadavian, showing us he can spotlight him playing in a simple song, likes CHILD OF CAESAR does. But, yes, my friend, but! The song is generic, doesn't have the shine the band must to do to spotlight him in World Music.
CHILD OF CAESAR brings to us all the same music making in Gothic Rock. If you like to listen this style, they make a good sound, but nothing new.
