Chaos - Mortality Makes The Humanity album cover

CHAOS are a Heavy Metal band from Warkaus that originally formed in 2011. CHAOS have released their latest scifi-tinged assault via Inverse Records, and it is titled "Mortality Makes The Humanity".

CHAOS delivers a beautiful masterpiece in "Mortality Makes The Humanity". The entire concept of the album focuses on humanity can be destroyed and how we can all die at any time. No one is promised tomorrow, and therefore we must appreciate every day, because we never know when it may be our last day(s) to live. Whether we are terminated by natural deaths or nuclear war, it's not promised how long we have on this planet. We must make every day count while we have it.

Opening track "Mutilate The Reality" challenges what we think we know about reality, and how it can be turned upside-down on its head in just minutes. This vows to change the listener's mind about everything they thought was reality, and what really is reality, or what could become reality. "Awakening" is about the voice screaming in someone's head from the moment they wake up to keep on the mask that they were that states that everything is OK even when it's not. It's about not letting anyone else see what is "wrong" with us, even if it is something serious. It's about remembering that no one and nothing is what it appears to be in life. Everyone/everything wears a mask, and things are rarely what they seem. That's part of life, which is a complex entity.

"Who Does Next?" hits on the topic of war and tragedy, which an inevitably part of humanity. Someone is always going to be next, and someone is always going to suffer or perish due to the actions of other humans. It's part of humanity, and how our nature was designed. There is pain and suffering in this life, and that will not change. "Atlanteans" is about the kind of person that remains locked in some sort of "cell" their entire life, unable to ever really get out and be free to explore the entire world as they wish they could. They always hold back, and feel they have something to hide from everyone else. "Skirmish" is about the entire war that engulfs humanity as we fight against each other to get the best and most important things in life, and take them away from other people in the process. It's often senseless violence that makes no sense, but it's about one man wanting to gain something over another that makes people press to this point of hurting other people to benefit themselves.

"Dream Alive" is about being locked up in the cage that life seems to hold us in, but never letting it keep our spirits down. We always have to continue to dream and fight for something better. No matter how caged or confined someone is, someone's spirit is something that no one can contain unless the person lets them. "Still Breathing" is the statement that long as someone is still living, they have something to continue to fight for. Never give up long as you have life in your body. It's never time to sop fighting for what you want, or to stop standing up for what you want in your life. People are always running away from one thing and looking to find something else. It's perfectly OK to want something better, but when you find it then you must work to keep it. "Omnicorp" is about bringing down the enemy to take what is someone else's, and what you ultimately want in life. "Machine Heart" is about how humans are just taught to react, but not to feel or to really understand their own thoughts, feelings, and emotions. People have turned into something of robots, instead of humans with compassion and care for others. We are just automated to do what we must to survive, with little regard for other people in the process. Finally, "Edgeless" is about the war that will know no limits, and will ultimately end all of humankind.

"Mortality Makes The Human" is the ultimate idea that we are all going to be terminated at some point in life. No one is immortal. This is what makes life beautiful. It's temporary, and not eternal. Every day is precious, and life should be lived as such. No matter what kind of CHAOS may break out in the world, humanity is is mortal and that is ultimately what makes us human. If we were immortal it would mean nothing to be human. The meaning of being human would be lost, as we would all just live forever and nothing would change. We must appreciate live every day as if it is our last, because we may not have another day to live for tomorrow. CHAOS hit the nail right on the head with that concept.
