Melody rarely meets thrash metal, but for the sake of CHAOS ETERNAL's music, it sure as hell did. Adding to the final concoction some death metal elements, the debut record ''Feed On The Weak'' frames a headbanging fury, and shapes it into a blend of influences. Through subjects of revolt and mean riffing, the harsh intentions inside the Greek quartet's mind are shared by crashing, dizzy riffs and busy instrumentals.

And where to begin? Similar on many levels to Brazilian masterminds SEPULTURA, the dizzy riffing throughout the entire record is what will firstly and mostly grip you. Grabbing all the attention possible and transforming you into a thrashing machine from the start, the relentless energy drives you through both fierce moments, but also many smoother, lighter sections. As primary foundation to the album, the dynamism never dies, blasting a circle pit ambiance. As a result to CHAOS ETERNAL's several inspirations, the technical elements glisten out of the portrait, with varied scale harmony build ups between the guitars and busy, clicking, metallic drums supporting in the background. As the bass lines may be less audible, the profoundness and deepness encircling and holding the music never fail to deliver. Well grounded, the indispensable, detailed percussion hits with determinate strength. Efficiency, vitality, the metal act is well armed.

Clean guitars with silky tones to catch you by surprise, loads of screeching, breakdown insanity, abusive bends, treasured mutes and full-on distortions later, the greatest element of shock lies in the melodic passages. Not to be labeled as catchy, they contribute to the build up in a perfect way: just enough to be remembered and eagerly anticipated, without ever taking away the thunder of the verse riffs. All these moments simply end up creating and forging the standing-out essence to CHAOS ETERNAL, the fresh feel and authenticity to the bands music. The structures are plain, but work their way out to downright effectiveness by placing a magic combination on the forefront: tone and riffs. Constant with its poundings, consistent with its ideas and concise through a straightforward, precise product, ''Feed On The Weak'' holds a force to reckon with.

Holding influences such a SLAYER and, quite a bit of LAMB OF GOD into pieces like ''Deep Into The Lodge'' (for its dissonant guitar cries, but also silky cleans), the record hits it's highest, most boiling points when it drops the heavier, louder breakdowns. Mesmerizing, vicious and razor edged, the rolling drums unfurl a cruel attack, as the melodic climaxes sweat their way through. As Sotiriou's madman growl leads us through the journey, notice its similarities with ex-frontman Max Cavalera, (mid 80s to late 90s SEPULTURA). Deep and savage. Oh yes.

Founded in 2012, the quartet has many years of success ahead of them. With such vibrancy in the tone and creativity stuck inside them riffs, the potential to rise out of the underground scene is ferociously felt. Aspiring to transmit an aura of enraged metal, the modern tone is fresh, new, but not without betraying its ancestors. Thriving on 80s and 90s movements, the blend of current and old school is priceless, as the fusion of melodies is smoothly mixed to the groundwork. Fierce, the strident cries of an anxious guitar reflect the universe of revolt the band thrives on, as an angry drum dictates freedom.
