Black Out Sunday

Lately, there has been a "trend" with the mixing of Heavy Metal and Hard Rock elements. Of course not in the classic sense that was always taking place, but in a more modern way with VOLBEAT being the brightest example of this movement. This sound has started attracting more and more fans worldwide and many great bands and releases have started popping up out of nowhere.
One of those bands is this pretty fresh act from the country of VOLBEAT, Denmark, which releases its debut full-length album "Black Out Sunday" through SAOL (Service for Artist Owned Labels). While VOLBEAT mix their classic Rock, even Rockabilly influences with the sound of METALLICA (90's era), CHAINFIST take their classic Rock influences, mixing them with the Metal sound of bands like LIZZY BORDEN. With their heavy and catchy riffing, CHAINFIST are sure to earn the respect of every modern Heavy Metal fan, while fans of extreme music will surely be curious to see what the ex PANZERCHRIST guitarist Michael Kopietz is currently into.
The album's sound is also really good adding the appropriate "amounts" of heaviness to CHAINFIST's music. Ok, to be honest "Black Out Sunday" is nothing amazing if you ask me, but it surely is an album that you can pleasantly listen to and find several interesting stuff. I am sure that CHAINFIST can do even better so I will be waiting for their next step.
