Cerekloth - In The Midst Of Life We Are In Death album cover

Demonic Black Metal is one thing, but savage / Lucifer summoning Death Metal is something else for sure. CEREKLOTH's debut "In the Midst of Life We Are in Death" is one heck of an example for that. It's nothing too mind-blowing, but a definite example of how fierce the underground can be when it comes to Death Metal music.

Low growls with somewhat decipherable lyrics, heavy pounding bass, and well transitioned raw and melodic guitars dominate this album, and shape the overall atmosphere; which sadly, happens to be that of a regular Death Metal album in the deep Metal underground. I'm not saying it's a negative release it's just my way of saying this is a very average album with a strong background and some very talented musicians.

For anyone seeking a good Death Metal album, this is highly recommended. It's got all the components of a heavy, evil Metal album, and at the same time it's got no absolute flaws in terms of performance and sound, it just didn't amaze me. But I'm no pessimist, and I always look for the best in every hard work I come across, so allow me to say that this will be a very enjoyable listen to fans of the region's genre, and for those who are up to date with demonic releases from one of the best labels in the underground Hells Headbanger Records.

Tracks to check out on this release are "Halo of Syringes" which was on their previous EP, but re-written much better now, and my personal favourite from the album, "When Outcast Become Kings", which has a very awkward grammatical error *smirks*. So, refresh your music library and give this album a shot, you never know, it might make your day.
