Carnivorous Voracity - The Impious Doctrine album cover

Although a good cover doesn't always make for a good death metal album these guys have great artwork that match's the band and their image. These guys hail from Spain and they deliver the goods in an extremely technical and brutal way. Singer Seyerot brings his cookie monster vocals that tear your heart and push it back down your throat. Much like most metal heads we always love dark brooding guttural vocals with a grinding pulverizing rhythm. To be honest it's fairly generic but it's not a piss take and they do the job extremely well. They don't stray too much from the formula for a good death metal album with plenty of squeal from the guitars and churning rhythms'.  With this in mind it does make it quite difficult to pick out the tracks that stand out because it's just a crazy twisting mass.

Two tracks into the album and "Epiphanies Of Perverse Egocentrism" speeds along dragging you behind.

"Secularize" is one of the songs that show their grind influences alongside the track "Serpents Nest" that also has some cool vocal lines and some cool little twists and turns.

The rumbling roar of "The Threshold Of Obliteration" is mesmerizing. Thank goodness I live in the country because out there they don't mind me while I roar along. It's always a good sign when you starting singing growling along while listening to an album.

This is a relentless album never letting up killer metal. This is what you want to hear when you walk through the gates of hell material. Demons spewing forth as you march on to your doom. These guys are technical musicians that know how to execute with proficiency. It doesn't get much tighter than this I reckon the pit would be madness at one of this bands gigs.<
