Carnal Garden - Where They Are Silent album cover

Metal maniacs, rejoice! I'm proud to present to you "CARNAL GARDEN"; signed via Eclectic Productions, hailing from Greek grounds - performing Death Metal, on their debut album entitled "Where They Are Silent" (released April 15th, 2017).

"do you ever fantasize, about being KILLED?".

One of the most shocking quotes from any album; though we have our wonders about death, I can't imagine fantasizing about it...maybe I'm normal? And maybe others have done, of course they are the crazy people. But onto the album in question...since formation in 2012; the quintet have only 1 EP "On The Final Day" in their discography. Fast forward to 2017; we finally have a full-fledged record: "Where They Are Silent". Constructing a solid slab of hard-hitting Death Metal proficiencies that embody a rich arrangement of formulaic developments, CARNAL GARDEN establish a unique formula of hardcore elements while implementing that savage atmosphere of sinister proportions. 10 brutally relentless tracks, ranging around at 34:22 - this short but sweet record flourish with distinct characteristics that delight in an effective experience. Though, if you are here for DEATH esquire influences, I would move on.

Consisting of Kostas Analytis on vocals, the frontman formulates a consistent yet peculiar style of vocal range in which still showcases those deep, guttural growls and grunts. "Crushing Skulls" is your atypical kind of Metal song, yet it still pummels my being with complex and crushing dexterity. John "Weedow" Dafopoulos on both guitar and bass, efficiently provide an organic substance of riffs and power in this recording. "Gasping For Last Breath" creatively balances primitive instrumentation, executing with chugging yet swiftly rhythms, which are enjoyably enlightening. "At The Forefront" has a deadly aesthetic in the sound production as powerhouse drummer Dimitris Miglis crushes his set with the most barbaric of intentions, the songwriting is original and memorable that leaves you wanting more - as the quartet deliver a sufficient amount of dominant musicianship prowess.

"Morbid Dreams" is another progressive devilment, technical hooks and monstrous pounding hammers with more unprecedented insanity - crisp and sharp executions contrast with collateral devastation in mind. "Violence Unleashed" speaks for itself; it's a short 2:45 destructor, which keeps the groovy haste and thrashing madness in full effect. "Blood On The Walls" examines intricately designed methods in which distinguish with mammoth traits and adroit delicacies that will make your head rattle, "In The Garden Of Death" supplies with more of the aforementioned nimbleness as it excels with uncanny results. "World Infected" contributes more elegantly chaotic mayhem until "From The Catacombs" concludes the record with exquisite precision, my only gripe would be that there's a little distortion but it's nothing that ruins things.

Overall - this album is worth checking out for Death Metal enthusiasts alike.<
