Bravery, Truth And The Endless Darkness
Capilla Ardiente

CAPILLA ARDIENTE, or Burning Chapel in English, is a Chilean Doom Metal band formed in 2006. Bass player Claudio Botarro and former roadie Felipe decided to get together to form a band that played traditional doom on the veins of CANDLEMASS and SOLITUDE AETURNUS. They released an EP back in 2009 entitled "Solve et Coagula" and now release their debut album.
Musically-wise they remind you a lot of PROCESSION, unsurprisingly so since the core members of CAPILLA ARDIENTE, Claudio Botarro and Felipe Plaza Kutzbach, are members of PROCESSION as well. The main similarity is, of course, Felipe's very unique form of singing, but there are some noticeable differences between those two bands, if you pay close to attention to it. CAPILLA ARDIENTE seem to have a more thrash-influenced riffs and tend to go into a more long epic song structure with all their songs, apart from the two instrumentals "Consequence and Consequences" and "Naufragios", being 10 minutes minimum.
Melancholic guitar riffs, operatic vocals, crazy drumming and a powerful bass this is a superb release that deserves to be listened by all fans of Doom Metal out there, it is certainly one of the best releases out this year.
