Disgust
Cannibal Accident

In the second half of the 80s, due the musical proximity and the cauldron of creation was still boiling hot, Grindcore appeared. It’s obvious that NAPALM DEATH with “Scum” and “From Enslavement to Obliteration”, CARCASS with “Reek of Putrefaction”, REPULSION with “Horrified”, BRUTAL TRUTH with “Extreme Conditions Demand Extreme Responses” and some other paved the way for the rising of younger acts, and influenced many generations. And the Finnish quintet CANNIBAL ACCIDENT takes the inheritance, as heard on “Disgust”.
Brutal, fast and with short songs (the bigger ones last something above 2 minutes, and no longer), with extreme blast beats and dirty distorted bass parts paving the rhythmic way for nasty and hooking guitar riffs (many of them carrying the Old School Hardcore/D-Beat influence), the band mixes influences of Grindcore with traces inherited from Death Metal. This release is dangerous, aggressive and brutal, but filled with an amazing hooking energy, boosted by the presence of two singers. Why aren’t you hearing to it now? As expected, the sonority of the album is rough and privileges the brutality and distortion (remember that Grindcore must have a gross and dirty appeal on its releases), but in a defined way that makes things understandable to the fans. As guests on the vocals, here are Nikki Jääsalmi on “Itseinhon Kusisella Alttarilla”, and Ulti-Make (of SKULMAGOT) on “Viimene Fiitti”.
If you’re into extreme Metal ways, “Disgust” is a full-length easy to deal with (if you’re not, take care of your ears), a drilling screwdriver for maniacs on Grindcore/Death Metal, and its 20 songs are mandatory. Taste “Explicit Everything”, “Toleraped”, “Darkest Auer”, “When Only Fans Blow on Empty”, “Flesh Fabricant”, “Darken the Attic”, “Itseinhon Kusisella Alttarilla”, “Mouthbreathing Bottomfeeder”, “In the Meat of the Night”, “EU-rope Around Your Neck”, “Kemperverse (Kemper Trilogy part 3: Mama’s Boy)”, “Wife Eater (Woman’s Best Friend)”, “R.I.C.H. (Relying in Capital Heresy)”, “Viimene Fiitti”, “Omniworld”, “Inhumanely Precipitated Biodegradation”, “No One Loves You Anymore”, “I Want to Pay More Taxes”, “Insult / Result” and “Scorched Meat Tactics”, and try to not slamdance where you are (it’s possible to do so, if you’re not alive).
“Disgust” is a fine Grindcore puke in the ears, but CANNIBAL ACCIDENT isn’t caring if you’ll like it or not. They’re just here, and they’ll stay here!
