CABRA is a Black Metal band based out of Cleveland, Ohio. Formed on October 27, 2017, "We Are Infinitus" is the band's third release...an EP that contains five new tracks. It is set for release on January 4, 2019, and we have the early promo here for review.

"Drakkar" is the opening track. A heavy and aggressive riff leads the way, with absolutely thunderous drumming that does not concede. The main riff is harrowing and frightful, as are the high-pitched vocal screams. "Emerald Eyes" is a bit slower with a linear guitar riff that has some despondent tones. The blast beat drumming is still omnipresent, as it fills all the open spots with its presence. The vocals are blasphemous, and some lead guitars fill in here and there. "Fires of Divinity" has a chaotic pace with an easily assimilated main riff. The structure is scary, and the vocals sound like they come from the Dark Lord himself, shouting orders to his minions to gather against humanity. The drumming is so ferocious that I swear the drummer's arms are going to fall off.

"Lights Cradle of the Dark Path" lets a bit of a groove settle in before going for broke. It's traditional in the sense that the "wall of sound" hits you hard, while the raging vocals provide the aggressiveness needed to carry the song. The title track, "We Are Infinitus" closes out the EP, with melancholy tones amidst the evil. All of the traditional Black Metal elements are present, and CABRA does a good job sticking to the formulas used by our Norwegian brethren who started the genre. The aggressive darkness, the unrelenting sound, and the harrowing vocals are all indicators of a traditional Black Metal sound.
