Hittin’ the Target

What about some dirty Hard Rock/Rock 'n' Roll free of compromisses that isn't to give and have fun?

People must understand the simple idea that Metal was built upon a strong tripod: BLACK SABBATH (the creator one), JUDAS PRIEST (the canonizing one) and MOTÖRHEAD (the extreme one). There are those that follows one path nearer of the names above, or the ones that try to drink from the same influences as they did in past, and others mix things up with other things. And the Swedish trio BÜRNER walks on a familiar path, as heard on “Hittin’ the Target”. It’s a crude and nasty form of Hard Rock that mixes of acts as MOTÖRHEAD, AC/DC (hear to “Burnerator” to check it), ZZTOP and others in such ways, creating and amazing form of music that bears a massive energetic impact, with simple and dirty melodies that hooks the hearers easily.

The formula isn’t new, and after Lemmy went to glory, of course that there are many bands are working in such trench. But this trio has the value of trying to do things on their own, to work their influences and songs in a personal way that’s savage and full of energy. The right music to be heard on a smoky bar as a fight begins! The sonority of “Hittin’ the Target” is rough and straight, but defined. It means that’s the nasty and crude appeal of the trio’s song is untouched, but sharpened in a way that is understandable by anyone. Yes, these guys want to be heard and understood, and not just to be one more in the middle of many.

With a simple technical appeal, nasty and charming melodies, choruses that aren’t hard to sing along, these Rock ‘n’ Roll cannonballs came to show their music, even by force. And it’s not hard to love their musical work, especially due songs as “Beer Before Glory” (a true dirty Hard ‘n’ Roll song with a massive energy flowing from its melodies, with charming nasty vocals), “Burnerator” (a ‘motorheadian’ war machine made music with simple and remarkable riffs, nasty solos and easy chorus), “Bring Me the Fire” (wow, what a frantic and catchy set of melodies, but the abrasive dirtiness is supported by a powerful and simple rhythmic work of bass guitar and drums), “Warrior” (another blow of energy in the ears, with fine double bass parts of the drums), “Soulmate Killer” (such filth appeal really honors the memory of Bon Scott, with simple and evil vocals), and “Up Shit Creek”.

These guys are here to burn your ears at any cost, so dive into “Hittin’ the Target”, and join BÜRNER’s army!
