You like it loud? Loud you'll get it...or, maybe, you'll EAT IT! With bands like BROKEN TEETH creating an adequate soundtrack to a Saturday night fight (which can always end in some broken teeth...c'est la vie) we'll never worry bout the loudness of our music. Thankfully, neighbors will always be around to yell and we'll always have a middle finger to rise against. Life is short and needs good livin', right?

Jason McMaster holds eternal credits for his superficial singing in techno Metal legends WATCHTOWER's "Energetic Disassembly" 1985 opus plus developing his filthy deeds with US lour rockers DANGEROUS TOYS for a series of albums between 1989 - 1995. While re-inventing his love for classic Power Metal - in IGNITOR's "The Spider Queen" 2009 CD - it's bands like BROKEN TEETH who demonstrate his undying love for mean Rock 'n' Roll. "Viva La Rock, Fantastico!" is as dirty and street-raised as you can imagine. It derives from the AC/DC (1^st era) and RHINO BUCKET legacy, mixed with the filthy side of the LA glam/sleaze Rock school - enough of CINDERELLA, some of BRITNY FOX, a doze of JACKYL and of course the DANGEROUS TOYS stamped DNA - creating a "booze all night!" atmosphere with shakers, rockers, fast-forward tornado and nonstop whiskey/beer frenzy.

I was now thinking of some other bands like e.g. BLACK LABEL SOCIETY or BUCKCHERRY, trying to capture their feeling towards whiskey-rock-n-roll entertainment and - I believe - the fact that I'm more keen on the way e.g. BROKEN TEETH smell bad is that their influence or scope is direct and parallel to the way of life (and experiences) of the listener. Hence, I do not know if there's some possibility an album like "Viva La Rock, Fantastico!" may sound vintage and 'just Rock' enough for the ears of a younger rocker (the same way that e.g. a hardrocker in his 30s cannot clearly evaluate HINDER's style). On the other hand, if songs like "Get Outta Here Alive", "Break The Spell", "Twister" and "Exploder" cannot make you shake a hip...

BROKEN TEETH's new album - the band exists from 1999 - is as raw as you, the soiled vagabond, would like it to be. No more info needed, really. You'll have a tough time resisting its hurricane attack, trust me.
