BOMBS OF HADES return to the studio following 2016's Full-Length album, "Death Mask Replica". Since that album Roger Iderman has come into replace Butch Ekman on Bass. Let's hear what the Swedes have put together with this new lineup.

"Phantom Bell" starts off with a good tempo for the melodies to begin expanding. The Thrash aspects are all through the melodies, but without losing control or balance of the song. The pace does start to dwell slightly, but before much can be made of it, we find a new solo reverting back to the melodies we had to start off with, it's a good use of repeating something that worked. Good start to the EP, its quick and catchy, its what is needed for an opening song.

"Bridge of Sighs" keeps up the overall pace pretty well throughout from the opening song. Not too many changes in the early stages of the song at all. The looping melodies work well to build the overall feel into the harmonies, only issue is, there is not enough experimental aspects, maybe a little too safe. It doesn't really strain too far away from what we heard, which on an album is fine, but on a 4-track EP is not so great.

"Kamikaze" & "Lungs" are very similar in the fact that you would not know it's a cover, because it follows so many ethics that the rest of the album does. It's a good thing when a band can do a cover song and it seem like their own. The pace is set tot the mid-range at best, not pulling up any trees in the song, but ticking over nicely. The song does not throw put too many changes again, but in itself is a very good presentation of the song, so take nothing away from it.

The issue with any EP is that they just are not long enough to find out enough. This material could explode into a very exciting album, which shows a great promise and potential. The lack of experimental melodies is not to be looked into too far because the harmonies pulled out are good enough to make you want to hear more
