Bloody Hammers - Self Titled album cover

I am in awe of the recent onslaught of independent releases I have had the privilege of reviewing. BLOODY HAMMERS' self-titled debut album is just fucking awesome. Horror Groove Rock meets melodic vocals, I guess would be a great way to describe my listening experience. Here is why.

As one cavorts down the albums audio road, you can definitely feel the BLACK SABBATH / PENTAGRAM influence on "The Witching Hour" and "Black Magic" (which are both stand out tracks.) Warm groovy guitar with an angry bent to their tone and intriguing vocals catch your attention like a mermaid's song, while haunting key and cryptic lyrics hold you in place for the audio sacrifice. Yep, I liked it. For a rating, I'd give it a solid 9 out of 10.  Until next time friends, stay well and live free. Cheers!
