Blind Secrecy

BLIND SECRECY a Progressive Metal band, formed in 2006 from Lappeenranta, Finland. They released a few demos: "Crushed" in 2006, "...of the Dying Land" in 2007 and "Miscast Angel" in 2008 and also EP's: "Arise" in 2012 and just recently the pulled out "The Edge".
"Land of Fire and Ice" is quite an upstart with powerful riffs and well done drumming. I noticed how the chorus is such an epic, virtually a hymn, a twisted mix between ROYAL HUNT and PRIMAL FEAR. Opener "Where Angels Fear to Tread" characterized by heavy riffing guitars and fast pace punches, a melodic hit easy to contain. Several times it take different turns, surging with cool dynamics kind of like DREAM THEATER, yet with a vocal line of the likes of James Hetfield. "Man On The Edge" has a fine METALLICA vibe, a bit of their old Thrash epicenes, energy pouring out of this track. There are also several noticeable pointers of early IRON MAIDEN guitaring. Through "Unburden" the band emphasizes their talents with attributing near perfect heaviness along with rich melodic patterns.
This EP will be possibly admired by Heavy Metal fans who like the linking of Hard Rock and Progressive. BLIND SECRECY plays really great and well-worked music. I can't wait to their full-length debut album.
