Dance With The Devil

being a relatively new band they have a fairly old school classic rock sound with influences such as ZZ TOP and AC/DC, the band wants to make music that gets audiences moving, with two EP's "Back In The Game" as well as "Rock 'n' Roll Aint Dead" along with a few singles in their rear view mirror, the band ended 2020 off with their debut full length album "Dance With The Devil" in November.
This album is packed with ten old school rock 'n' roll tracks that will bring audiences back the golden age of rock 'n' roll, with the powerful vocals of Niko Hämäläinen with lyrics about freedom and partying along with his and Riku Kananoja's old school blues style guitar riffs and well placed solos which are complimented well by raw sounding drumming of Tatu Lankinen, those elements are glued together well by the solid bass skills of Lauri Aaltonen.
The band only released one single off this album pre release and that was the albums sixth track "Cross The Line" and I thought this was an interesting choice as this track is different in a lot of ways to the other tracks on the album and as the only song to be released pre-album, with that being said it's still a great track. The use of an acoustic guitar made the track stand out to me more then the more classic rock and blues style guitar riffing on other tracks on the album.
The albums title track "Dance With The Devil" is the albums second track and it has classic rock written all over it, from blues style guitars, to hard hitting drums to powerful vocals, this track is definitely one for fans of rock 'n' roll for sure.
The final track on this album "Too Late" is not what I was expecting it to be, it's a much more stripped back acoustic track packed with powerful vocals and carefully placed harmonies on top of acoustic guitars. I wasn't expecting this album to end in this fashion however I do find it to be a nice way for the album to be brought to it's conclusion.
Having listened through the album, I can clearly see how bands like ZZ TOP and AC/DC influenced this band and their sound, this album is definitely one for fans of old school classic rock 'n' roll for sure.
