BLACK JUJU is a new band actually formed in 2011 in the land of the mighty gods Greece, formed by previous members of DENIAL PRICE and DORIAN GREY well known vocalist in Greece Panos Dimitriou and guitarist Dimitris 'Omiros' Tsimbonis also a well-known figure in the Greek Metal scene. Both got along together with Kostas Mitin and Fontas Stragalinos and formed this fine Doom Metal and kind of Stoner band.
The first album was entitled "Letters From My Brother Cain" kicks off the CD with a song that says it all, I mean Doom Metal, it has all the ingredients of it, lovers of BLACK SABBATH, CATHEDRAL, WITCHCRAFT, TROUBLE and NEVERMORE will love this album. As I said the first track called "My Sabbath Vein" sets out the tone for the whole album with a gloomy and relaxing vibe, slow but catching guitars, Dimitriou really knows how to hypnotize you with his soft, mellow vocals, psychedelic guitars taking you into a deep trance. "Blame It On Gods' and let the "Black Widow" take her revenge and maybe you may think that it is "Unfair" and be face to face with the Black Mamba" and do not let your life be in "Vain".
I will be honest, I am not much of a Doom Metal collaborator, but as a Metal music critic I have to say, this is a totally killer album, BLACK JUJU have done a great album indeed and lived up to the mighty gods of Greece high expectations, excellent job fellas.
