BLACK FUCKING CANCER is an Extreme/Black Metal band from San Jose, California. They seem to have very limited presence on the Internet, as I could not find much trace of them online. Even the band members have no online existence. This self-titled album is their debut album and it is definitely extreme in nature. The band proudly proclaims, "Black Fucking Cancer propagates ritual subjugation and mass execution". The band has only released limited copies of their debut album numbering to 500. As with most Black/Extreme Metal bands, the music and the riffs the band creates is unrelenting and steadfast.

"A Sigil Of Burning Flesh", the opening track of the album starts of with an eerie sound before the thrashy guitar riff kicks in accompanied by double bass drum action. The song is of the extremely headbang-able variety. Clocking just over 7 minutes, the track gives the listener some time to recuperate in its mid section. As is the standard process in Black Metal songs, the track twists and turns in its tempo and melody.

"Blood Stained Whore" has the same intense energy as the opening track and starts out with a very Thrashy sounding riff. After the proper introductions are made, the tracks veer into the path of crushing Black Metal sounds. It is an intense song that is fast and furious from the beginning to the end, all 8 minutes of it.

"Sinn Ritual Void", the second longest song of the album clocking just over 10 minutes, begins with grim guitar work that reminded me of a juiced up BLACK SABBATH. The first 5 minutes are occupied by gloomy, somber guitar work. The latter half of the song is where the tempo picks up and hurtles its way at a breakneck speed. It is a spooky track sprayed with Thrash/Punk riffs and beefy vocals. Entirely enjoyable, in fact.

To be perfectly honest, I had no idea what to expect when I started to listen to this album. I was perhaps hesitant and did think it would be wild, chaotic screaming and devilish chants. I was in for a pleasant surprise and quite enjoyed the album. It has some really excellent riffage and the vocals compliment the gloomy sounds perfectly. The band paints a pretty dark, grim and desolate landscape with their music. It's not possible to just hear the tracks on the album, as the songs grab you by your face and forces your attention upon them. Fans of the genre will most certainly enjoy this album. The band also incorporates elements of Thrash in the songs; some of the riffs will delight fans of fast, loud aggressive Thrash Metal. Hell, I haven't listened a lot of extreme music but there are parts and melodies in the tracks that gave me immense joy!<
