BISHOP is a Metal/Rock band from Albany, New York that is made up of three brothers who have released their latest self-titled full-length "Hate Wide Open". BISHOP's musical aim is to make people feel better through listening to their music, and to help others feel better about life after hearing them play their music. This album was released by BISHOP Independently.
BISHOP's latest full-length effort "Hate Wide Open" is based on the concept that there are two ways people can act in this world. This is combined with BISHOP's heavy-hitting Rock/Metal sound along with their catchy riffs and drumbeats to help spread this message. As BISHOP seem to see it, one way that people can live is that they can continue the hate, animosity, and anger of humanity's past in the future generations. The other option is that people can give the world a new message of hope, care, and promise for the future of humanity. BISHOP seem to have clearly chosen the second option.
BISHOP starts with tracks such as "Free Fall" and "Mistake" that make it clear that humanity is going the wrong way in the modern world. We are free-falling into a world lacking morals, ethics, and standards of how humans are to behave towards each other, and towards the world we live in. Humanity is making mistakes that will be irreversible if we are not aware of what we are doing, and willing to make changes accordingly. BISHOP want to help be part of that positive change that comes to the world to help right these current issues. BISHOP do this by helping write positive music that aids people in feeling better about the world we live in, provide ways to change, and call people to take action on what must be done to make it a better place. BISHOP provide the uplifting message humanity needs to make changes to our future on this planet.
On the second half of the CD, BISHOP take on a world through hate, anger, and violence BISHOP have penned original, positive songs such as "Awaken" that demands that humanity wakes up to the way the world around us is. Humanity has to change our own attitudes, and our motives in life if we want to see a change in the world. We have to be part of the change that we want to see.
"Neverland" speaks of some sort of a dreamworld where people are happy, and where nothing is wrong with this world anymore. In this world, the entire planet enjoys peace, happiness, and prosperity that humanity does not enjoy in our real-world today. This is a possible world for humanity to live in if we all decide that we are going to care about other people rather than plot their demise against them!
"Move" calls every human being to take their part up in a movement against hate, anger, and violence in this world to overcome it in a positive way. If human beings can simply respect each other, then things will improve a lot more in this world. More people will proper. More people will love, and less people will hate. The world will be a better place.
BISHOP's album "Hate Wide Open" presents the two options people have for the future of this world. We can go down this path of hate, anger, and violence we are going down, or we can demand change. People have to be the change. BISHOP help bring that positive message to light through their Rock/Metal music. It's a positive message that humanity needs to hear. BISHOP bring a great sound that make hearing this message a positive, uplifting thing for humanity. In a world we live in, we really need more of that.
