Battle Of Rock
Avi Rosenfeld
AVI ROSENFELD; consecutively released numerous records throughout the past years since the first album in 2009 entitled: "Kompozitsia I", today I am introduced to the 2023 record "Battle Of Rock" (released 2nd of June, 2023). Since formation, an impressive milestone of 71 full-length studio records in Avi's discography, making this repertoire of music quite the feat for a soloist - making this artist a revered musician to review. Signed via his own label, hailing from Isralian grounds - a 50-minute record ranges from a nimble performance on some heavy-hitting Hard Rock developments.
Opening up with this synthetic but acoustic-like hymn; "Raven" starts off the record with this rollicking rhythm that rivets with groovy adrenaline and frolicking hooks from maelstrom soloist himself Avi Rosenfeld. Injecting a flamboyant heft in euphonic dexterity, a dynamic virtuosity quintessentially soars with rapidly swift solos and catchy substance that's organically vivacious whilst zestful. A creative complexity fabricates a hybrid but experimental flair that strikes with mellifluous sulphurate, distilling a profusely robust technicality on progressive harmony and melodic tonality that's seamlessly distinctive. "Burn The Light" (featuring none other than TIMO TOLKKI of STRATOVARIUS fame) surges with more tempo driven elegance, as exquisite instrumental immersivity heralds an intricately designed formula in this sublime juxtaposition of outré panache & thrilling versatility of utilising vehement songwriting musicianship that's memorably pleasing whilst rocking all around.
Momentously clamouring a jazzy symphony; jumpy masquerades salubriously ramify with boisterously bouncy characteristics that's vibrantly potent whilst systematically towering with old school, traditional Heavy Metal trailblazing & Rock N Roll meticulance that's just sonically revving - profound within the eclectic "Half Of Your Face". "Bite Your Tongue" catches my mojo with infectious bass audibility and crunchy calamity, while the production sounds clean and computerized a little, a razor-sharp rift relishes these songs on steely precision that manifests with this wildly rushing tenacity that's venomously impactful amongst hasty. Definitely one that I personally replay should I fancy a boost of speedy virulence; while Andre Tulipano's vocals roars with throaty eloquence, his clean but high-pitched yells shout with rigorous vigour & punchline finesse... evident in his solid performance within "Rosamaria".
Still remaining slabby however, it is not just the musical quality but also the inventive lyrical & pipe (of the cordial essence) distinguishment in which makes this record so far, a delightful and enthralling listen. Notably the jazz progression in "Blame", "Send Down the Angels" & "Hot" appeals to me with their prodigious architype in flexibly fundamental crescendos and a firing all cylinder fabrication which prestigiously forges a dense but synergetic stability on rich tremolo patterns that raises the bar efficaciously with silver-lining attribute whilst persistently persevering grandeur excels at a grandiose furore and cellarful polish, of which the penultimate rocker "Parachute" proficiently rumbles with... on top of the reverberating ebullience Avi bombastically belts and buoyantly clobbers with.
Overall concluding "Battle Of Rock" with the finale epic: "Nature's Awake"; I am compelled to say that AVI ROSENFELD most surely offered and outdone himself here as a healthy dose in masterwork material that honestly, I can happily call a masterpiece - simple as that. Most certainly exceeding my original expectations, a record of this calibre indeed captivated me with an enjoyably entertaining experience and discovery that's most worthy of spinning whilst re-playing a good bunch of times - definitely check this one out!
