AUTUMN: DEATH is a Melodic / Extreme / Black / Death & Folk Metal  band from Haparanda / Tornio in Sweden / Findland. The band was formed in 2011 and in 2014 they have released debut EP which features the monster-drummer Dariusz "Daray" Brzozowski of the DIMMU BORGIR, VADER and HUNTER fames.

"When Dark Days Come" is great a track with soothing piano verse which opens and also closes this track. Within the margins there are impeccable riffs, heading towards the Doom Metal subgenre, melodic portions pour in, diverse pace, keyboards and a voice from the distance mixed clean / scream, a wicked whisper that draws attention conveying a similarity to BATHORY. I like so much the powerful "Tristia", with a surge of the pulp DIMMU BORGIR, following the drumming, anxiety screamos and spectacular solo that wouldn't shame SATRIANI or VAI. "Between the Worlds" is a great infusing of melody, rhythm guitar heaviness, grinding drums and calmer moments of piano, high register growls, clear singing and whispers of chaos. This mix might indulge you to rehash old EMPEROR or WINTERSUN. "Mors Principium Est", not the band, will caress you with brutish drumming, spectacular Folk vibes and blackened high end growls in the manner of CRADLE OF FILTH and CHILDREN OF BODOM, which the latter also quite influenced concerning the melodic edge.

AUTUMN: DEATH has a big potential and with their passion to play music, I trust that if done write, they will be known one day. This kind of extreme Metal melodic and diverse conceptions will serve as a distinct mark, a path which I am positive that will serve them right. No doubt that everyone who admires CHILDREN OF BODOM, BATHORY, DIMMU BORGIR, EMPEROR, WINTERSUN and CRADLE OF FILTH would like to grab this EP, the time is now.
