The Search
Armory
Metal maniacs, rejoice! I am proud to present to you: ARMORY; signed via High Roller Records, hailing from Swedish grounds - performing Speed Metal, on their 2nd album entitled: "The Search" (released July 13th, 2018).
Since formation in 2012; the quintet in question have 1 album in their discography so far, I am introduced to their 2nd record entitled: "The Search". 11 tracks ranging at around 40:49... the quartet arrange an intricately designed formula of battering grit and heavy-hitting developments. Starting off with the titular track and "Hyperion"; I jam to a concrete slab of solid Speed Metal madness, incorporating old-school 80s Thrash Metal relentlessness in which amalgamates a blistering aesthetic of distinctive flamboyancy. ARMORY converge a constructively distinguished songwriting process, with a fluidly polished sound production that demonstrates a culmination of IRON MAIDEN heaviness and KREATOR's deadliness in one epic package; I will also add SAVAGE MESSIAH in for good measure on the influence scale.
Consisting of Konstapel P on vocals; the frontman contrasts with consistently diverse singing, from clean to high pitched dynamics in which are executed persistently with profusely robust stability. "Rise Above" distributes diligent savagery with complex, melodious rhythms that have a meticulous proficiency to it. Dextrous guitar duo Ingelman & GG. Sundin establish a grandiose manifestation of riffs and solos in which convey thunderously speedy ramifications in songs like "Star Voyage" & "Vault Seven"; frolicking with barraged assaults of rampaging onslaughts of furious velocity, hammering with thumpy yet progressive technicalities in which portray unprecedented utilizations for that captivating sense of creativity and craftsmanship.
Powerhouse bassist Anglegrinder grinds and pulverizes his weapon with audible attributes which adroits with adaptative finesse, songs like "Bringer Of Light" showcases efficiently composed expertise which combine enlightening fulfilments with enjoyably entertaining efficaciousness. Pummelling drummer Ace embellishes on bouncy and crunchy subtleness, generating an excelling characteristic with detailed results. "Heavy Metal Impact" relishes more blistering brutality, as the stomping instrumentation and musicianship fused with diligent skill supplied an energetic listen. "The Twin Suns Of Solaris" adequately delivered original and memorable inventivity, cohesively amplifying with electrically primitive maliciousness.
"Utomjordisk Dominans" has a imaginative twist to it, still rapidly swifting with nimble sufficiency while "Polymorphic Intruders" & "Hisingen Warriors" overall conclude the record with a catchy finale. Bottom line; I discovered a fasinating band that manages to keep the faith of old-school 80s Metal, modernizing it with excellent clarity – ARMORY certainly outdone themselves, and they are worth the listen.<
