Arcane - Worlds Colliding: The Anthology album cover

If like me, you are victim from time to time of a stroke of nostalgia, if like me, the tape trading movement era ,now unfortunately bygone, is a warm souvenir of a time that you cherish dearly: well, this compilation/anthology is for you. Once again the wise and clever people at Divebomb Records with at their helm Matt Rudzinski provides to us another very interesting slab of Underground American Metal with a collection of four demos/Self-published or indie disc once recorded by ARCANE from 1988 to 1994, in the pre-internet period way before the You Tube/Facebook mania, where a circle of initiated experts only where witness of this band!

Today everybody and his mother is able to catch the new formed group of musicians from Moldavia playing Death Polka Core, but back then the discovery of such a talented band was realy rewarding and exciting. Finally thanks to Divebomb Records/Tribunal Records and its Metal archaeology restoration program. Here we have another good reminder of that special flavor displayed by those underground artists, and if "Worlds Colliding" is not a classic or an absolute must-have, nonetheless, it's still a good testimony of a strong dedication, a unique spirit thrill where the epic and the dynamic were more important than anything else.

Of course, the technical side is regarded by the contemporary standards under the initial level, but the honestly of the talented players involved is unquestionable and this kind of organic music with such an innocent concept, a juvenile method and such an unaffected Metal pattern cannot exist anymore. I am convinced...Regrettably.
Arlington's ARCANE and Divebomb Records offer you an exclusive ticket to a travel back in a time capsule...The legendary French writer Marcel Proust states "Remembrance of things past is not necessarily the remembrance of things as they were" in this case it's the opposite, it's exactly as i remembered it!<
