Antonello Gilberto's debut solo album, The Mansion of Lost Souls was released in April of 2013. The backing riffs are the familiar Power Metal formula, but part from the generic as soon as the lead kicks in. Antonello Gilberto has been honing his craft for years, earning two guitar related degrees and teaching in Syracuse, Italy. I generally dislike Neoclassic Metal because I generally suck at guitar, but I do recognize talent. Gilberto's work cannot be discounted by personal taste and it's something any rock fan should give a chance.
