Darkness Sustains The Silence
Altar Of Betelgeuze

Just like Roberto Duran famously quitting in his fight with Ray Leonard (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leonard%E2%80%93Dur%C3%A1n_II for those not educated on boxing lore), I am crying "No mas..." by "The Approaching Storm" of this release.
ALTAR OF BETELGEUZE has many flaws, but the top of that list is whoever the hell thinks he can sing clean vocals. There are moments in this release that I feel embarrassed for that person. It's so ridiculous I can only imagine that the rest of the band lives in fear of this person. Fear could be the only motivation for not only keeping this person in your band, but also recording the disaster, and then sending it out for reviews. How the hell can you listen to those vocals and expect anything other than a review like this? It doesn't even matter what the rest of the band is doing. Once those clean vocals show up, this disc goes in the trash (They show up on "Steamroller" by the way).
Because I am a semiprofessional.... I finished listening, but I didn't need to. Pay attention. This is why people read reviews for releases by unknown bands. Don't get this. See? I just saved you money. You're welcome.
