Metal maniacs, rejoice! I'm proud to present to you: ALPHA TIGER; signed via SPV Steamhammer Records, hailing from the glory of Germany - performing Power Metal, on their 4^th album entitled "Alpha Tiger". (Released on August 25^th, 2017)

Since formation in 2007 (as SATIN BLACK, and then ALPHA TIGER in 2011); the quintet in question have 3 albums behind them, I'm introduced to their 4^th deliverance, entitled "Alpha Tiger". If you're here for MANOWAR-esquire Power Metal, move on. This here quartet delivers an intricately designed formula of unique Power Metal, juxtaposed with psychedelic elements of 70s/80s characteristics - with a modern twist. 11 tracks ranging at around 53:48; I find myself jamming to an unprecedented formulaic of Power Metal distinctions. The opening track "Road To Vega" is a short 2:04 harmonic introduction, until "Comatose" enters the fray. Benjamin Jaino on vocals has a screechy, high-pitched arrangement in his pipes - while they are proficiently executed, they do seem a little more suited to Rock territory. Albeit, the band incorporates rock-orientated, melodic, and diversity in sub-genre variety, which the aforementioned genre should be varied...

"Feather In The Wind" provides a complex songwriting process as guitarist Peter Langforth consistently showcases dexterity at his fingertips with flourishing riffs and solid finesse in his contributions, there's a lumbering ballad in this one - consisting of chugging adroitness while implementing anthem enlightenments. "Singularity" is a song I think a lot of people can relate to, powerhouse bassist Dirk Frei attributes in a fulfilling sound production process in which is structured with constructive balance to the creativity in development. "Aurora" has efficient guitar twin harmonies & a pummeling breakdown from drummer David Schleif, and what sounds like a Hammond Organ in contrast with an organic aesthetic that's fused in the instrumentation and musicianship. "To Wear A Crown" was the most manic in savagery, and most consistent to the chosen sub-genre, still manifesting with an abundance of substances in place.

"Vice" shares more groovy riffs from secondary guitarist Alexander Backasch, although the memorability in the solos are a little lacking in originality - still quite impressive in contrast with all the differentiates on display. "Welcome To Devil's Town" has American Western & Mexican themes in the melodic motif, which is made comprehensive with an acoustic Spanish guitar near the end of the song. "My Dear Old Friend" returns the Hammond Organ and 70s proto-metal influences, while "If The Sun Refused To Shine" begins with yet more pleasant acoustics and hasty melodic pace, fused with captivating speedy Metal. Concluding the self-titled record with "The Last Encore" which begins with an interesting spoken word about the music business, and more of those twin guitar harmonies - ALPHA TIGER overall distributed an authentic innovation, while a little generically simplistic here and there...an enjoyable discovery nonetheless.<
