With a logo like this one, AEONS OF ECLIPSE could be nothing more than a really extreme Metal band. These guys were kind enough to send their debut album to us for a review themselves and the least I could do for them is write a review on their work. Damn, I love it when I see underground bands following a DIY mentality!

With a name that could lead you to the thought that this is either a Black or Death Metal band, the US metallers began their career only 4 years ago, debuting with their split CD with ASSIMILATION in 2005. After two demo releases, the band thought that it was ready for its first big step, a full-length album.

The Kentucky based death metallers deliver an all out aggressive assault full of bestial vocals, mind blowing drumming and shredding guitars that will knock you down with its unmatched brutality! But wait... Haven't we heard all these stuff before? Can the Death Metal scene carry one more brutal Death Metal band? As this music's history proves us, yes it can.

Drawing influences from bands like CANNIBAL CORPSE and MORBID ANGEL, while adding some DYING FETUS Grind touches, AEONS OF ECLIPSE surely create a pretty good Death Metal album with sick brutality and ass kicking technique. The only thing that they miss for now - since this is only their debut full-length release - is a better production and I think that with the help of a label they will do much better.
