Abramis Brama - Smakar Sondag album cover

Two years after the release of Live!, ABRAMIS BRAMA return with their brand new album Smakar Sondag and they are damn ready to take off! These Swedish rockers surely know how to party and this album is pretty good evidence why...

ABRAMIS BRAMA (the Latin name for bream) lost their original drummer after the 2005 album Rubicon, who joined WITCHCRAFT. So what a better replacement than Trisse (GRAND MAGUS)! The band's trademark is the fact that they sing in Swedish, something they almost lost in Nothing Changes (all the magic was lost) and quickly returned to their native language.

What's so special about ABRAMIS BRAMA? Well, if you don't like the 70's Rock sound that bands like CREAM, BLACK SABBATH, TEN YEARS AFTER taught us, dressed in a Stoner way, then I guess you won't find anything special in here. But if you do like the above, then ABRAMIS BRAMA may become your new favorite party animals! Rocking guitars, pounding drums, sweaty solos, passionate vocals, a face melting bass and a totally 70's vibe are things you won't easily find in a modern record. The band hits you with high energy Rock doses, while also featuring a few more melancholic moments for every taste.

What if they sing in Swedish? That's where all the magic is! Smakar Sondag (which by the way translates as tastes like Sunday) and ABRAMIS BRAMA wouldn't be the same without this detail. As my fellow templar Erika said, no matter if the lyrics can be understood or not, there can't be any mistake in the groove.

And don't expect a rating here. Such kind of music is not to be rated, it is just to be appreciated!
