When I listened to ABIOTIC's debut album I was faced with the question: "How would I describe this album?" Words such as "terrible", "awful", , "disgusting", "abominable", "unpleasant", "repulsive", "repugnant", "nauseating", seem to leap to mind but then on a second thought I find that these words don't quite describe this abomination, so therefore I was forced to look up on the old Thesaurus and found words such as "horrendous", "appalling", "atrocious", "sickening", "vile", "dreadful", "loathsome", which, although get very near to describe it, don't quite get there so once again I was faced with the quest to find a word to describe this and I finally found it: Excruciatingly-unbelievable-painful-repugnant-terrible-awful-disgusting-abominable-unpleasant-repulsive-nauseating-horre
ndous-appalling-atrocious-sickening-vile-dreadful-loathsome.
From the retarded switching hot-potato-in-the-mouth-to-a-shrieking-nails-on-a-chalkboard type of vocals, to a complete absence of melody that is what differentiates random noise to true music, I hated every second of this album. The only moments of pleasure I felt listening to "Symbiosis" was when a song ended but, unfortunately, it never lasted long as the sweet nanoseconds of silent were soon raped and violated by beginning of the next "song" (random noise is more fitting).
As a reviewer you are bound to come across the occasional bad album, but never would I have dreamed to come across such a terrible album. In other words this album makes METALLICA & Lou Read's Lulu look like a masterpiece.
