Metal maniacs, rejoice! I am proud to present to you: À RÉPIT; signed via Naturmacht Productions/Rain Without End Records, performing Black Metal, on their sophomore album entitled: "I Canti Della Veglia" (released February 12th, 2021).

Since formation in 2012; the duo in question have only 2 full-length albums and a Split in their discography so far, the first album entitled: "Magna leggenda" (released October 31st, 2017) ; the Split entitled: "Teschi | Ossa | Morte" (released April 9th, 2019), and this here concept and sophomore record entitled: "I Canti Della Veglia". 11 tracks ranging at around 53:26, À RÉPIT arrange an intricately designed formula on some heavy-hitting Black Metal developments.

Opening up with this noisy reverberation on this spacious yet majestic void on swirling static  "Signore delle cime" unearths this ritualistic sensation where this operatic hymn chants with upbeat yet mellow vigour until "Bezoar" unleashes this shrieking string that's as blistering as can be, electrical snares & rawly rough profanity revels with monolithic tempos that merge  this striking virtuosity with ruthlessly quintessential mayhem. Multi-instrumentalist Skarn rattles speakers with this thunderous barrage frenzy on sulfurous rhythms that jump with punchy panache & momentously groovy adrenaline as amplified blasphemy conjures up this blackened atmosphere in crunchy distortion which rumbles with trembling piledrives. Stompy drum hammering rambunctiously thuds with sturdy slams while razor-sharp pandemonium utilises this unique spectrum on other-worldly spellbinding while vocals soar with raspy throatiness while yelling with scouring grovels in which surge with vibrantly potent outbursts.

As chorale like singing mesmerises you, fading as it did begin with the previous bruiser - "Amnios" is a brief interlude in cinematic evolution. Manifesting this euphonic but deadly harmony that acts as an incantation of sorts on mythical entrancements, intriguing hums ascend into grandeur calamity as "Seungoga" contrasts an intense boundary on borderline firepower and a concretely gritty foundation on primitively trailblazing substance. Organic dexterity dynamically chugs an intensely galloping but bludgeoning fabrication on speedy velocity, rampantly clobbering eardrums with rompy melody. While shouty roars scream with bleeding extremity, executing a chiselling kick on lacerating but killer slays that rip with monstrously meaty significance that will make you want to break chairs over other chairs in no time. While "Masnada" feels like a hybrid dimension on this experimental folk element, while still distilling grinding exhilaration for good measure, that's incredibly catchy and fun even if gnarly in between within the symphonic resonance that portrays a rhapsodic but ethereal remedy.

"Processione" articulates with more snappy quirkiness as Gypaetus on the venomous yet impactfully infectious bombardment of the audible bass, and progressively technical maelstrom stability pulsates with maliciously volatile voraciousness. Tempestuously riveting with radically wicked tonality that provides zestful perseverance on persistently robust steamrolling, that will rattle your skull profusely. " Il Passo delle Cenge" is another enchanting passage of ambience, atmosphere and acoustic embellishments of seamless soundscapes that morphs with this sublime intertwining in deathly eeriness as this mist of ominous yet jarring sacrilege warps a holy but spiritually possessed outre that will keep your mind transfixed totally. Until more transformative  synergies within "La Roccia di Jean Grat" distinguishes a cumulative twist on rapidly swift vehemence, and distinctively foreboding effigies that take place.

"Ventre di Lupo" starts off with this mystical but hypnotizing acoustic, as elegantly exquisite flutes and ceremonial orthodoxes transmute this more savage crescendo, continuing this upbeat outburst that strife with rich tunefulness. A howling wolf soars with melancholic emotion, evolving with more of those sinister but boisterously bouncy flows. Especially within the maddening machinations of "Vengeance From Beyond" which wonders with unforgettable strength, one of the more memorable & replayable tracks on the record that shows no remorse until the overall closer "Essenza" completes the record with more soundscapes of graveyard esque haunts, fusing this solid serenity of seclusion and gloomy dysphoria.

Bottom line; À RÈPIT certainly outdone themselves for a duo demonstrating a fierce Black Metal spectrum, this swirling vortex of maddening machinations subjugate this symbolic yet zealous retribution on meticulously unpolished songwriting stability & towering auras in dark but blackened atrocities that most definitely deserves discovering. "I Canti Della Veglia" is an intriguing philosophy of immersively detailed instrumental bliss, fuelling a deadly dose of snappy yet distinguished characteristics brilliantly craft an evil empowering slab of some strong yet potent attributes in unearthly symbiotics of paradisical visions that trance this dainty illusion on revolutionary metamorphosis that will keep you amused and enlightened greatly.Worthy of a few spins, check it out.
