5th Man Down - Are We Harmless? album cover

Are We Harmless? is 5th Man Down's debut album. The four guys from South London have created a very good and powerful album, without making something different from the other Nu Metal bands. Their style is not only Nu Metal related, they've got influences from bands like Pearl Jam and Soundgarden and this is quite evident.
A lot of good ideas, well written songs, plenty of melodies and powerful guitar riffs.
Glen Korner's voice is full of expression, sometimes full of rage. The first time I heard this album, one name came into my mind: Chris Cornel. The rhythm section is also very good with a lot of rhythm changes.
The songs Still and I Cried show us the band's talent and some other tracks had something from the Ozzy feeling (We Break Down, Feel). Something that will also be very memorable for you is the melodic chorus that's followed by a sudden stop and the Evanescence-alike riffs.
All the fans of the Nu sound and all who want to buy a good album don't think about it twice. Are We Armless? is the album you need.
