Formed in 2003, after years of playing under the name PRETTY LITTLE SUICIDE, 3 PARTS DEAD have regrouped and are ready and willing to put the past behind them and move forward. After numerous line-up changes these guys have finally found their groove, literally, and sound like they could be a player in this ever emerging 80's sound resurrection. Hailing from Boston, this quartet has just released their solid new 5-song, self-titled EP via Demon Doll Records. With a sound that is reminiscent of old-school bands like MOTLEY CRUE, VINCE NEIL's solo band, MOTHER LOVE BONE, and JUNKYARD, to name a few, 3PD have hit back hard and heavy.

3 PARTS DEAD consist of Mike Patton (Vocals/Guitar), Mike Fitzback (Lead Guitar), JC (Bass), and Romon Miquilena (Drums). I was shocked how much I enjoyed this 5 song EP, and the similarity to some of my favorite bands of old, gave me chills. The sound that dominated the rock n' roll world some 30 plus years ago has started to make it's way back into the spotlight, thanks in part to social media and digital downloads and this hard rocking band is ready to take full advantage of all available avenues.

This EP should have fans of the old stuff liking what they hear, maybe even believing that these guys live together in a one-room apartment somewhere in Hollywood, only showing their faces at night. All five songs are really well written for this genre and the EP sounds like a re-release from an 80's headliner. The song "So Long Girl" sounds eerily similar to MOTLEY CRUE's "On With the Show" and the rest of the tracks are spot on 80's rock n' roll.
