When I first heard that MUNICIPAL WASTE would come in Athens, I got so excited!!! I've been waiting for many years to see this band live and I couldn't wait to go to the concert. The door opened at 9:30 letting the significant number of metalheads to enter the venue. The place turned to be almost full. Probably there were 200 people in there.

FALL OF MAN from Greece was the band that opened the show. These guys had nothing to do with the rest that opened the MUNICIPAL WASTE gig. They played some kind of Punk/Metalcore/Screamo or something like that. I don't even know how to call this music genre. Generally, the sound was good and I saw some people in the front rows that having a good time with the band. I personally hate this kind of music but maybe someone who's more into this sound would like them.

CRUCIFIER also from Greece was the second band. I had seen them live many times before and I can say that this live was their best or at least one of their best. They played new and old songs. They also did two covers Bonded By Blood (EXODUS) and Death Squad (SACRED REICH) that sounded pretty good. Although the sound wasn't that good, the band succeeded in turning An Club into a thrashin' hell. Most of the people there were thrashing around, stage-diving, headbanging... just awesome!

Finally MUNICIPAL WASTE hit the stage while everybody in the avenue was screaming MUNICIPAL WASTE is gonna f*** you up!!. Although, they played less than one hour (about 50 minutes) the setlist was great!! They started the gig with Mind Eraser, Headbanger Face Rip, The Thrashin' Of The Christ and Thrashin's My Business And Business Is Good that was more than enough to make us go lunatic!!! They continued with Wrong Answer from their new album, Blood Drive / Accelerated Vision, Sadistic Magician and Beer Pressure and the people continued to be excited as hell. And then a song that many were anticipating to hear; Unleash The Bastards.

Suddenly, the stage was full of people going wild and stage-diving causing an accident; somebody plugged out the cable from Ryan's guitar and that was enough to make him angry. He said a couple of things (that annoyed some people in there) but they continued with their setlist. Terror Shark, I Want To Kill The President and The Inebriator were the last of the first part of the show.

After a while the band got on stage once again to play Bangover and Wolves Of Chernobyl and ended that great show with Born To Party. During the concert the crowd (including me) was really excited. Constantly there were people headbanging and crowd-surfing and sometimes (when the space was enough) there was a mosh pit in front of the stage. I got to mention that the heat was unbearable, although this great band (in my opinion the best from the newer bands who play Thrash Metal) played an awesome show and left us with great memories.
